The drag strip will complete 41 years in its same location before moving after the 2001 racing year. It was always known that eventually Bandimere would become to small to handle the crowds and needs of so many dragsters. Eleven years ago the track went through a $4 million renovation in order to keep the Mile High Nationals every year. Bandimere Speedway hosts over 130 events each year. During the 4 day Mile Hi Nationals, Bandimere is home to over 110,000 fans. The speedway's race season runs April-October with the 1999 season hosting nearly 400,000 racers and fans. |
